“The Wire” Actor Tray Chaney Is Up To Something Good
Tray Chaney is an actor who is best known as Poot, the low-level drug dealer character from the hugely popular HBO drama “The Wire.” But now he’s using his name to do something very positive through movies and music. When Tray the actor is not busy reading scripts, Tray the rapper is trying to get kids to pick up a book.
The DMV native teamed up with the Maryland State Education Association and produced a slick new music video called “Radical Readers” that has circulating the web and has been encouraging young people to read at least 30 minutes a day over the next 30 days. Tray paid a visit to the 93.9 WKYS studios and chopped it up with Angie Ange about his campaign.
