Nicki Minaj Blasts Lady Gaga Comparisons [VIDEO]

Music fans, you have finally pissed Onika Maraj all the way off. You’ve been comparing the female rapper to Lady Gaga one too many times and she is done with it. While participating in an interview with ABC’s Nightline, the journalist asked Nicki Minaj how she felt about being juxtaposed with Gaga and Nicki’s response was quite interesting.

Minaj asked why people would compare her to Lady Gaga and the journalist told her it might have to do with the outlandish costumes and multi-colored wigs. Nicki felt those examples were a little weak and told the journalist to “try again.” Minaj then pointed to the fact she is an MC from Southside, Jamaica, Queens being the reason they shouldn’t be compared.

I understand Nicki Minaj’s frustration. Nobody wants to be compared to anybody else when they’re trying arduously to create their own lane. On the other hand, Nicki Minaj, hasn’t been a rapper since “Superbass” dropped. The only reason why she rapped on “Beez In The Trap” and a few other joints on Pink Friday 2: Roman  Reloaded is so that she could still hold on to the rapper title. Truthfully, Minaj isn’t a rapper, she’s and urban pop artist. No shade, just truth. Debate me if you choose.
