Kobe Bryant, LeBron James Lead U.S. Into Basketball Semifinals [VIDEO]
Team USA Basketball advanced to the semifinals of the London Games with a 119-86 victory over Australia. Kobe Bryant dropped six consecutive three-pointers in the second half to seal the victory after a close third quarter. LeBron James notched his first Olympic triple-double with 11 points, 14 rebounds and 12 assists.
“Somebody made him mad. I could see it in his eyes,” Kevin Durant said of Kobe’s onslaught. “I wanted him to kind of turn it on and that’s what he did.”
The Men’s basketball team will face off against Argentina in the semi-finals on Friday. The Argentines are sporting several NBA players of their own with Luis Scola, Manu Ginobili and Carlos Delfino playing for their country.
