Kanye West Accused Of Illegal Sampling
Kanye West has been hit with a lawsuit alleging he sampled copyrighted material for his last solo studio album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Record label TufAmerica has claimed West liberally used clips from New Orleans R&B artist Eddie Bo‘s song Hook and Sling parts 1 and 2 without paying for all the instances the sample was used in songs “Who Will Survive in America” and “Lost In The World”.
This is not the first time Kanye has been involved in a copyright infringment lawsuit. TufAmerica is seeking unspecified damages from West, Roc-a-Fella Records and Def Jam.
