Giants TE Martellus Bennett Uses 'Spidey-senses' To Save Falling Fan
Real Life Giant Channels Inner Superhero During Amazing Catch
The best catch of the night happened after the win against the Green Bay Packers when New York Giants tight end Martellus Bennett caught a fan who was falling over a railing.
Bennett was tossing his gloves up to kids in the stand when a middle aged man who was attempting to grab for a souvenir took a tumble over the barrier.
“I was doing what I usually do, moseying to the locker room and meandering around,” the colorful Bennett said. “Naturally, I just wanted to step back, but I did the righteous thing and I stepped up. I caught him, I saved his life, I tapped into my inner superhero, which I do have.”
“I’m usually a ninja, but my Spidey-senses told me he was going to take a fall, so I saved his life. He owes me his first-born or something. Actually I don’t want that. Maybe a sandwich or something.”
Neither of the men were injured during the fall. Let’s see if Bennett will be able to put those Spidey-senses to use for the rest of the season.
