“I Love My Hair” Creator Has Adopted Daughter From Ethiopia
Sesame Street’s “I Love My Hair” will easily be celebrated as one of the most uplifting videos of 2010 and has spawned some great mash-ups. The writer of the song, Joseph Mazzarino, spoke with CNN about his inspiration for the clip.
“I noticed that when she was four that she wanted to have princess hair and blond hair,” he says of his adopted daughter, who is from Ethiopia. “Then when Chris Rock’s ‘Good Hair’ came out I realized this was a broader issue.”
