Steve Nash Joins Kobe Byrant On L.A. Lakers
Phoenix Suns guard Steve Nash will be in a Los Angles Lakers uniform next season. According to ESPN, the two-time MVP will join the Lakers through a sign and trade with The Suns.

Despite making comments last week that it would be hard to wear a Lakers jersey, Nash was motivated by being close to his family in Phoenix and playing for a legitimate title contender.

“For the last 8 seasons I’ve been blessed to play for a team and a city that has embraced me and that I have come to call home, ” Nash said in a statement. “This is a tough business and the only thing constant in life is change.”

The Suns get four draft picks– first rounders in 2013 and 2015 and second rounders in 2013 and 2014–for Nash. The Canadian national averaged 12.5 points and over 10 assists per game in 2011-2012.
