Call her the black Carrie Bradshaw. Venus ( Letitiah Hector ) just can’t seem to find her Mr. Right -whether it’s a ‘roided out personal trainer or a Lil Wayne wanna be with no cash, Venus seems to have a bum magnet attracting losers within a 5 mile radius.
With over 5 million Youtube views, “Between Women” has wisely tapped into an underserved demographic, the black lesbian community. Series creator Michelle A. Daniel bravely tackles issues like gay marriage, abortion, and domestic abuse. Based on the real life experiences of Kim Williams, “The Unwritten Rules” takes a comedic look at the pains of being a black professional in lily-white corporate America. Racey (Aasha Davis) tries to maintain her sanity and not revert to “Angry Black Woman” with her clueless co-workers, who could definitely use a course in Racial Sensitivity 101.
Roommates beware! Sleeping together is a sure fire recipe for disaster. When Tamiko (Shayla Hale) gives in to her sexy roommate Jay (Andra Fuller) in a moment of weakness, their happy home soon becomes a battle zone fraught with sexual tension. To complicate matters further, Jay’s ex-girlfriend Cherisse (Yaani King) moves in, unaware of Jay and Tamiko’s prior nocturnal “activities.”
This provocative new web series is not for the conservative at heart. This sexy sudser is funny and borderline graphic about living the single life in Harlem, USA.
