Lauryn Hill is busy tying up loose ends before beginning her prison term for tax evasion.
The NJ multi-talent has been renting a South Orange mansion since 2009 and was sued by her landlords for failing to pay rent in March. But rather than fight the eviction Hill reached a settlement with the landlords, agreeing to pay $7000 in rent and move out by the end of May. She begins her jail term in July.

Lauryn Hill plead guilty to tax evasion in 2012 and was ordered to serve three months in prison. Hill owed taxes on $1 Million worth of income and was able to pay $970,000 prior to sentencing, but it was not enough to keep her out of jail completely. The singer and rapper recently signed a deal with Sony records and released a song “Neurotic Society” on iTunes in an effort to raise funds towards her debt.
Hill came to prominence as a member of multi-platinum selling group The Fugees and won five Grammys for her solo debut “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill” in 1999.
