MIA Leaves Jay Z's Roc Nation Management
Rapper M.I.A. Splits From Roc Nation Management
As with any small business that is still in the growing stages, Roc Nation has lost a client in the new year. Pop rapper M.I.A. recently announced she was leaving Jay Z‘s management stable. The announcement came on New Year’s Eve via Twitter. According to sources, the split has a lot to do with the many push-backs her album “Matangi” encountered.

M.I.A. has only been signed to the management company for a year. During that year, the artist experienced creative differences with the label and insisted that was why the project was delayed so many times. On top of the differences she was having with her label, Interscope Records, M.I.A. also caught heat for flipping her middle finger during her Super Bowl performance with Madonna.
After M.I.A. announced she was leaving Roc Nation, she tweeted that she was looking for young, talented people to work on her next project. So if you’re looking a job, hit up M.I.A.’s Twitter account.
