Pharrell Williams Performs “Happy” At Oscars 2014 [VIDEO]
Pharrell Williams’s ubiquitous hit record “Happy” has become so dominant on radio and the web that you almost forget that it was on the soundtrack to a movie, “Despicable Me 2.”
Pharrell is competing with “Let It Go” (“Frozen”), “The Moon Song” (“Her”) and “Ordinary Love” (Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom”) for Best Song at the 86th Academy Awards. So it was only right that he and his hat took the stage to make Oscar winners and nominees like Meryl Streep, Lupita Nyong’o and Amy Adams shake what their mamas gave them right in the front row!
Watch Pharrell’s performance of “Happy” at the Oscars below!
If Williams wins, he will be the third-ever rapper to receive an Oscar, following Eminem for “Lose Yourself” from “8 Mile” and Three Six Mafia for “It’s Hard Out Here for a Pimp” from “Hustle & Flow.”
