Drumline' Sequel Trailer [VIDEO]
VH1 Drops First Look At ‘Drumline’ Sequel
Before Alexandra Shipp took on the role of Aaliyah, she was the heartbeat of Atlanta A&T’s marching band! The actress is starring in “Drumline 2: A New Beat” as Danielle “Dani” Bolton, who dreams of becoming the band’s first female lead percussionist.
She’ll be striving for her goal under Sean (played by Leonard Roberts), who has gone from drum section captain to band leader. Of course, Nick Cannon will be back as drumline alum Devon Miles, and the guys will show off their skills as a team to inspire the new class!
From the trailer, it looks like he’s done alright for himself. We’re getting famous producer vibe from him, but we’ll have to wait until fall to find out!
I’m also excited to see LeToya Luckett join the cast as Atlanta A&T’s hot, young dean Dr. Nia Phillips. She has some history with Sean, so maybe there may be a faculty love connection, if the teaser below is any indication.
