‘No Good Deed’ Earns $8.8 million With Friday Premiere

Idris Elba and Taraji P. Henson started out the weekend on a high note as their new film dominated at the box office!

A quick tally of ticket sales has found that “No Good Deed” is on course to be the #1 movie this weekend, according to numbers from BoxOfficeMojo.com. The thriller, which centers on a woman who becomes the target of a mad man after trying to be a good Samaritan, earned an $8.8 million last night alone!

Those numbers more than doubled “Dolphin Tale 2 “and the $4.2 million in sales it earned after debuting last night as well. “Guardians of the Galaxy” came in third last night by pulling in more than $2 million. According to The Hollywood Reporter, that film has now raked in $600 million worldwide, so Marvel probably isn’t too upset about being topped by to newer movies.
