DMX Rep Says Rapper Believes ‘Redemption Of The Beast’ Album Is ‘Stolen’
DMX has not authorized the upcoming release of his album The Redemption of the Beast, according to his representative Domenick Nati.
“I spoke to DMX today and he was unaware of the upcoming announcement of the Redemption Of The Beast album,” Nati said in an e-mail to press. “When I read him the projected tracklist of songs to be released, X said, ‘That’s all stolen music.'”
Nati continued, adding that DMX feels his trust has been taken advantage of.
“DMX and myself are highly disappointed that trust was broken and that these songs may be released and sold without X’s knowledge or consent,” he added. “DMX and Swizz Beatz are working on an album together and fans should look to their official social media accounts for accurate information.”
As reported yesterday (January 7), Swizz Beatz has also criticized the upcoming project, calling it a “fake album.”
The Redemption of the Beast is set to be released January 13.
