Hear T-Pain’s “Say The Word (I’m Gone)” With No Auto-Tune
As T-Pain plans to release his next album Stoicville: The Phoenix, he’s released “Say The Word (I’m Gone),” another song that does not feature his signature use of Auto-Tune.
“Say The Word” is a stripped down video that features the singer in the studio. A split-screen allows the viewer to watch Pain harmonize with himself.
The song features the singer’s vocals over piano, a melodic cut that does not feature any rapping.
Pain made headlines last year when he performed on NPR’s Tiny Desk segment without any Auto-Tune. While that gained the singer a lot of attention, he’s said that he’s often performed without Auto-Tune and that he hopes audiences recognize that he can sing with or without using Auto-Tune.
