Joey Fatts Pens Tribute To A$AP Yams
Joey Fatts Pens Heartbreaking Tribute To Friend A$AP Yams
Joey Fatts, a member of the Cutthroat Boys collective that A$AP Yams worked closely with, has penned “Stevie World,” a tribute track for his fallen friend.
“I was sleeping in my car,” Fatts rhymes to kick the track off. “You came and got me out / Gave me a car and moved me up inside of Rocky’s house / When times got hard, I hit your phone and we would talk about it / Now you’re gone, can’t hit your phone, don’t think that I could go without it.”
Yams’ unexpected passing made headlines over the weekend as the rap community mourned the A$AP Mob founder’s death. Several rappers, including Drake, Wiz Khalifa, Evidence and Vince Staples, also expressed their condolences and sadness on social media.
At the time, Fatts also delivered a heartfelt message on Instagram about Yams.
“I would do anything just to joke with you again,” he said. “I don’t know how I’ma do this without you. Rest in paradise…You meant everything to me. They all know the world of hurt I’m going through. I love you brother.”
