The Today Show and Tamron Hall decided that it was time that we know what all of these trendy terms actually mean. Gathering their information from a New York Times Language quiz, “Are You On Fleek,” The Today Show broke down the meaning of “on fleek” and “bae.”

While they got the “on fleek” definition correct meaning perfect, they still don’t understand that “bae” does not mean before anyone else. If anyone were to consult the black community where these terms flourished, they’d know that “bae” is just simply short for baby.

But it’s cool New York Times and The Today Show, you got it on fleek.
