Suge Knight‘s lawyer believes his client is being treated very unfairly. With bail set at a whopping $25 million, the former Death Row CEO is also being restricted from phone usage or visits from family members.
In a report by the Daily News, Knight’s attorney Mathew Fletcher is the only individual working on the case who’s permitted to meet with Knight. Fletcher also has a forensic reconstructionist that he’d like to use as an expert witness, but hasn’t received clearance.
Fletcher says:
If experts can’t speak to him, they can’t do their job. We will never be able to present a defense. This truly should shock people.
This is the most important time for him to have access to lawyers and experts. He’s supposed to be innocent until proven guilty. They wouldn’t allow this at Guantanamo Bay.
We’ll have to wait and see what unfolds in this case.
