'Orange Is The New Black' Star Selenis Leyva On New Show's New Season
‘OITNB’ Star Selenis Leyva: Expect Major Inmate Transformations In Season 3
The award-winning series Orange Is The New Black has already been renewed for a fourth season, even though season 3 has yet to make its way to your Netflix cue. We caught up with OITNB star Selenis Leyva at Orgullosa Latina, a women’s empowerment event in NYC. Leyva, who plays the no-nonsense prison chef Gloria Mendoza on the show, gave us just a few clues about season 3. In the new season, we can expect her character to go on a spiritual journey, and some of her fellow inmates will follow suit.
This year, don’t expect to see Leyva only donning orange. The actress is set to play a governor alongside Julia Louis-Dreyfus on HBO’s comedy series, Veep. That’s definitely a good look for the Bronx-raised actress.
Check out our interview with Selenis Leyva, and get more tidbits about the new season of Orange Is The New Black, in the clip above.
