The hype over the latest Star Wars movie is continuing its route toward critical mass. In celebration of the unofficial May 4th holiday, “May the fourth be with you,” Disney and LucasFilm just revealed new character photos on the cover of Vanity Fair. Here’s our first look at actress Lupita Nyong’o (of 12 Years A Slave and Non-Stop fame), who’s reportedly playing Maz Kanata, a space pirate with her own castle, in a motion capture suit.

Next, we get a look at Girls star Adam Driver as central antagonist Kylo Ren (the guy with the three-pronged lightsaber in the first trailer) standing on a Hoth-looking planet with two modified Storm Troopers behind him.

We’re still hampering to see what Lupita looks like in the film proper, but the fact that she’s in it alongside John Boyega is satisfying enough for us. May The Fourth Be With You All!
