'Power' Season 2 Premiere Has Record Ratings
‘Power’ Seals The Deal, Renewed For Season 3
Power is back for its second season, and already has proven to be better than its first. The numbers are in, and the Starz hit show has crushed its first season premiere ratings.
According to an official Starz press release, the ratings from the season two premiere tripled in comparison to its first season, bringing in an impressive 1.43 million viewers on the day it aired (viewers who watched live and after it aired on June 6). The season one premiere kicked off with 462,000 viewers.
But over the entire weekend, thanks to DVR and OnDemand services, Power pulled in 3.62 million viewers, and its now the network’s highest-watched episode.
Thanks to its impressive debut, Power has already been renewed for a third season.
Power airs Saturdays on Starz at 9 p.m.
