University of Kentucky freshman center Karl-Anthony Towns was selected number one overall in the 2015 NBA Draft by the Minnesota Timberwolves. Towns, a Piscataway, N.J. native, averaged 10.3 points and 6.7 rebounds on a loaded Kentucky team that only lost one game the entire 2014-2015 season. Towns is a young and mobile big man who should be one of the league leaders in blocks and rebounds right out of the gate for the Timberwolves. Towns will head to a young T-Wolves team that already features reigning Rookie of The Year in Andrew Wiggins and the 2015 NBA Slam Dunk champion Zach LaVine. The University of Kentucky is expected to have a big night with as many as seven players expected to be drafted on Thursday night.
