Zoe Kravitz Loses Role For Being 'Too Urban'
Zoe Kravitz Loses ‘Dark Knight Rises’ Role For Being ‘Too Urban’
Zoe Kravitz has experienced a lot of success over the years, but that hasn’t stopped critics from finding something about her to pick apart.
According to the Huffington Post, Zoe auditioned for The Dark Knight Rises a few years ago and was told that she was “too urban” for the role.
She revealed to Nylon magazine:
“They told me that I couldn’t get an audition for a small role they were casting because they weren’t ‘going urban. It was like, ‘What does that have to do with anything?’ I have to play the role like, ‘Yo, what’s up, Batman? What’s going on wit chu?’”
Luckily, the criticism hasn’t halted the beauty’s success. She is currently filming Allegiant: Part 1, the next installment in the Insurgent movie franchise.
