Footage Of James Blake’s Violent Run-In With NYPD Officer Surfaces
Footage of James Blake being aggressively thrown to the ground by a New York police officer has surfaced on the web.
The video was released by the NYPD and it shows Blake standing casually outside of the Grand Hyatt Hotel before an officer runs up to him and shoves him to the ground. He was patiently waiting for a ride to the US Open, and didn’t resist the overzealous officer at all.
Police commissioner Bill Bratton has since apologized for mistaking Blake for a suspect in a credit card fraud case. When Blake finally hit the US Open, he received a standing ovation. Check out the clips above.
