Will Jason Pierre-Paul play this season after losing an index finger? That’s been the floating questions on Giants fans’ minds all season. Big Blue has been floating along, but games like their last one against the Eagles don’t inspire full confidence. Giants need that extra help, even if it’s missing an appendage.
Pierre-Paul has reportedly met with the Giants for a physical on Monday afternoon, according to NFL.com. Not much has been released about what happened, but his recent tweet hints that there’s been some good news.
Coach Tom Coughlin said that it is possible that Pierre-Paul can return this week. However, it all depends on if the team’s medical staff clears him to play.
There’s also the question of that franchise tender. If he signs it, he runs the risk of the Giants placing him on the non-football injury list, which could cost Pierre-Paul millions. If he doesn’t sign by Nov. 17, Pierre-Paul will have to wait until 2016 to play football again.
