Bad news for San Francisco 49ers fans.
The team has placed star quarterback Colin Kaepernick on injured reserve in light of his decision to undergo surgery on his left shoulder, thus bring his disappointing 2015 season to an end, according to ESPN reports. Kaep suffered the initial injury to his shoulder during the 49ers embarrassing 17-3 loss to the Green Bay Packers back in October, where he ended the game with a torn labrum that has only gotten worse as the team continues to struggle through the season. The niners are currently in last place in the NFC West with a record of 3-6.
2015 has been Kaep’s worst season to date in his 5-year NFL career and with this season-ending injured reserve placement, many fans are concerned that it may indeed prove to be his last run with the team.
