10 Classic Michael Jordan Lines From Jay-Z

NBA legend Michael Jordan has a lot of fans, but few bigger than Jay-Z. To commemorate the G.O.A.Ts 50th birthday we’ve gathered 10 of our favorite MJ lines from Beyonce’s husband.

Ah, so all the Jordan/LeBron comparisons are Jay-Z’s fault! (we kid..)

You can have a field day decoding this one. While black or white is an obvious nod to Michael Jackson,  Phil Knight is the Nike Chairman, which means that black or white could also refer to the very popular Space Jam Jordan 11s. Considering the song’s name it’s plausible.

“The Return” (REMIX)

Three-peat, then we retreat to waters that’s blue”

It’s hard to remember a time when Jordan only had three rings. It’s also hard to remember a time when Jay-Z and R.Kelly were friends. But we know that when it comes to vacation spots, Hov has the globe on lock.

Hov faired a little better playing for his label than Jordan did for The Wizards, but the line has even more significance now that he is a part owner in The Brooklyn Nets franchise.

Yup, Michael Jordan could have been a Portland Trailblazer if they had gone to him instead of Sam Bowie as the second pick in the 1984 NBA draft.  Mind you they had Clyde Drexler already on their squad but they will never live this decision down.
