Producer Danja Talks Black Music & New Direction Of R&B [VIDEO]

Nate “Danja” Hills has dominated the pop charts and dance floors with his infectious sound for almost a decade. The Virginia native has crafted hits for everyone Justin Timberlake, Usher and Chris Brown to Britney Spears and Madonna.

In speaking with TheUrbanDaily.com we asked Hills what he considers to be “Black Music” and the trend of R&B artists doing more EDM.
“Music is more of a language and anybody of any color can express how they feel. R&B is still something totally different from dance,” he tells TheUrbanDaily.com. “I think nowadays everybody has their own identity and freedom to express music the way they want to. We mix a lot of genres and made a [way] for everyone to collaborate. ”
