We’re not rappers, but we have an idea how some of them think. R&B singer Ray J has taken an inexplicable shot at his ex-girlfriend Kim Kardashian with the song “I Hit It First.” In a whispered tone Brandy’s brother laments that he “had her head going north and her ass going south /But now baby chose to go West” in reference to her baby daddy Kanye West. The lyrics  allude to the infamous sex tape the couple released in 2007 launching the Kardashian brand name.

Since its release, “I Hit It First” has been celebrated as “catchy” by some, but called the worst song since Brian McKnight’s “P*ssy Works” by others. Now fans are wondering if Kanye West will bother to respond.

Some music fans argue that since Kanye has celebrated the sex tape on songs of his own (on “Clique” he rhymed “my girl a star from a home movie“) so he shouldn’t be offended. But man law requires that he come to his baby mama’s defense. This man produced Jay-Z’s  “The Takeover” for crying out loud. If Kim’s estranged husband Kris Humphries can catch it unprovoked on “Cold,” why wouldn’t Mr. Norwood?

So here are five things we’re guessing Kanye will say to Ray J in response to “I Hit It First.”

5) “He just mad cuz I had Mayweather drop him from the teeeaaam”

Ray J was a card carrying member of boxer Floyd Mayweather’s money team, escorting him to the ring and holding his belts until pop star Justin Bieber replaced him at the Miguel Cotto fight on May 5th.  Kanye famously threatened on “Cold” to have Kim’s husband, Brooklyn Net Kris Humpries, “dropped from the team”  by part owner and good friend Jay-Z.   The diss lyric practically writes itself.

4) “You hit first but when was your last hit?…”

Ray J’s last song to make any legitimate noise was 2008’s “Sexy Can I.” However, since 2008 Kanye has released two solo albums (“80s & Heartbreak” and “My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy”)  and two collaborative albums (“Watch the Throne” and “Cruel Summer”) and won fifteen Grammys. Advantage Kanye.

3) “Always gotta be the weakest n*gga out the crew/
I probably make more money off yo’ sex tape  than you!

Doesn’t matter if it’s true, battles are about what you can make the people believe and what better way to flip the sex tape back on him than to recycle Hov’s jab at Ma$e  on “Ride or Die” for hip-hop cool points.

2) “Ray ain’t about that life, Ray ain’t about that life
We’ll hang him out that window, it’s about to be a Suge Knight

Ray, who has been known to hang out with Death Row Records founder Suge Knight, was recently in an altercation with his niece Polly at the Nokia Theater in L.A.  So how easy it would be for Yeezy to stir up some bad blood (see what I did there?) by sampling his own lyrics from Chief Keef’s “I Don’t Like” remix.

1) “We all know Ray J is a hater/rest in peace to Whitney Houston

We all know how emo Yeezy can be, especially about fallen music icons. Considering he had no chill when he dropped the line on “New God Flow” “til we drown all these haters/ rest in peace to Whitney Houston”  just months after she died and Ray J was rumored to be one of the last people seen with her before she passed, expect him to get thrown under the bus with a subtle but not subtle jab like this. Is it a low blow? Sure. But do you expect Yeezy to not play dirty now?
