The LOX Release Surprise EP, Remake Brand Nubian Record
The LOX may no longer be on Bad Boy Records but they are still moving in silence. Last night the Yonkers trio dropped a “surprise” EP called “The Trinity” on iTunes. The four song collection is available through their own D-Block Records for less than the price of a Grande latte at Starbucks.
One of the songs, “Love Me Or Leave Me Alone,” is a remake of the 1993 Brand Nubian record from their sophomore album, “In God We Trust.” Jadakiss, Sheek Louch and Styles lament the indecisiveness of the ladies in their lives over the familiar Bobbi Humphrey sample.
You can cop The Trinity right here on iTunes and listen to “Love Me Or Leave Me Alone” below.
