Shooter Charged In Death Of Twista’s Bodyguard
A suspect has been charged with fatally shooting Twista’s security guard earlier this year. Matthew X. Jackson,25, was charged with one count of first-degree murder and one count of armed robbery after an altercation with Davy Easterling, 31, Twista’s security guard.

Cops responded to a call at 6 a.m. in regards to a fire at a multi-unit building on South Baker Avenue. The fire had started in a bedroom where Easterling was found with several gunshot wounds to the throat and chest. Easterling was pronounced dead at the scenes at 6:41 a.m.
An autopsy declared that he died of multiple gunshot wounds and his death was ruled a homicide.
According to police reports Easterling was shot multiple times by 25-year-old Jackson not to far from his South Side Chicago home. He was pronounced dead at the scene 6:41 a.m. according to the Cook County Examiner’s office after suffering wounds to the throat and chest.
Days before Easterling was found, Twista posted on social media that a “close friend” and security guard was missing.
Jackson will appear in court for a bond hearing on Thursday.
