LL Cool & Mavado Show Hustler Mentality On New Song
LL Cool J & Mavado Show Their ‘Hustler’ Spirits On New Song
Nearly 15 years after proclaiming he was the greatest of all time, legendary rapper LL Cool J is returning to set the assertion in stone. Uncle L enlisted reggae superstar Mavado for the gritty track “The Hustler.”
Produced by industry veteran Jerry Wonda, “The Hustler” is lifted from LL Cool J’s forthcoming album “G.O.A.T. 2.” While the album’s prequel, “Greatest of All Time (G.O.A.T.),” was geared more towards charming women out of their clothes and dissing Canibus, “G.O.A.T. 2” seems to be strictly for the streets. LL Cool J spits, “These streets ain’t loyal / These snakes uncoil right there for you / Family separated like water and oil.” Mavado’s somber vocals match the feel of the song.
