Quincy Jones’ Daughter Eyes Role In His Broadway Play
Actress Rashida Jones, 33, is reportedly pushing her famous father Quincy Jones to hurry up and unveil his plans for a stage musical so that she can use it to make her Broadway debut.
Q revealed last month he’s close to launching his work The Genesis and Evolution of Jazz and Blues as a theatre production and 3-D Pixar film – 33 years after conceiving the project.
The star of NBC’s “Parks and Recreation” is said to be eyeing a role in the play – but would happily look for another part on Broadway if her father’s production falls through.
She tells the New York Daily News, “I would definitely do it. I was thinking about doing Broadway anyway, but doing his show would just sweeten the deal.”
