‘SNL’ Breakout Star Leslie Jones Lands Major Role In All-Female ‘Ghostbusters’ Remake
Looks like the rumors are true: an all-female remake of the 1980s blockbuster, Ghostbusters, is on its way to theaters. Among the notables casted in the film is Saturday Night Live writer and comedienne, Leslie Jones.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, also casted in the upcoming revival are former SNL star Kristen Wiig and her Bridesmaids co-star, Melissa McCarthy, and Jones’ SNL cast mate Kate McKinnon. Director Paul Feig is set to bring this revamped version of the pop culture favorite to the big screen. No word yet on a release date for the film.
