Duke’s 66-52 victory over Gonzaga solved the remaining mystery of which teams will participate in the 2015 NCAA Men’s Final Four. Texas native Justise Winslow led the Blue Devils in scoring with 16 points at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas Sunday. Earlier in the afternoon, the Michigan State Spartans squeezed past Louisville 76-70 in overtime for an unlikely upset over fourth-seeded Cardinals. With Wisconsin earning a return trip to the Final Four Saturday via their 85-78 win over Arizona, and Kentucky surviving a two-point win over Notre Dame, the last remaining four teams will square off for a spot in the NCAA Men’s Championship Saturday, April 4.
Kentucky remains the prohibitive favorite with four possible NBA lottery picks on their team. Duke boasts two projected lottery picks in center Jahlil Okafor and swingman Winslow.
Kentucky came into the tournament as the top overall seed with an undefeated regular season record of 34-0. They’re scheduled to play at 5:49 pm EST next weekend. The Duke University Blue Devils will square off with the Michigan State University Spartans in the previous game at 3:09 pm EST.
