ESPN’s First Take is losing their co-host, Cari Champion, to SportsCenter, according to The Wrap.
Champion started with the network in 2012, and quickly became a draw for the show for her fresh opinions and the way she handled the debates between Stephen A. Smith and Skip Bayless.
From The Wrap:
“I grew up watching ‘SportsCenter’ — it is the flagship show so I am living the dream,” Champion told TheWrap. “When I first started working here, I would casually petition for it — but there’s always a long line.”
She will be joining other female hosts on SportsCenter including Sage Steele, Jade McCarthy, Hannah Storm, and others.
