Kanye West has been about the culture since he was a tiny little boy.
Kanye’s wife and reigning queen of pop culture, Kim Kardashian, shared a vintage video of a young ‘Ye reciting a poem he wrote about Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on MLK Day.
The grainy video starts off with 13-year-old Yeezy introducing himself to the crowd: “My name is Kanye West and my poem is ‘His Name Means Love.’”
The video is from 1990 and proves Kanye was destined to be a star. Watch the whole performance above, and Happy Belated Martin Luther King Day.
