Iggy Azalea Claps Back At Macklemore's "White Privilege II"
Iggy Azalea Claps Back At Macklemore Calling Her Out On “White Privilege II”
Miley, where you at?
Not only does Macklemore’s polarizing new single “White Privilege II” have Black people giving him the side-eye, but some White folks are shading the Seattle rapper as well.
In the wee hours of the morning, Macklemore released a conscious song in which he acknowledged the existence of White privilege, cultural appropriation, and the #BlackLivesMatter movement. Somewhere within the nine minutes of White guilt, Macklemore called out Miley Cyrus and Iggy Azalea for co-opting blackness.
“You’ve exploited and stolen the music, the moment/ The magic, the passion, the fashion you toy with/ The culture was never yours to make better/ You’re Miley, you’re Elvis, you’re Iggy Azalea,” he rapped.
A fan brought the song to Iggy’s attention, and after listening to it, she tweeted:

Welp, Macklemore can count out a photo-op with Iggy at the Grammys this year, that’s for sure.
