Baltimore Ravens Cornerback Tray Walker Dies At 23
Baltimore Ravens cornerback Tray Walker has tragically died in a dirt bike accident in Liberty City, Florida. His agent Ron Butler confirmed the news to ESPN.
According to the Miami-Dade Police Department, Walker was riding his Honda dirt bike when he collided with a Ford Escape traveling in the opposite lane. The accident occurred at about 7:50 p.m. last night. The police report details that the headlights on his bike were not turned on and that he was wearing dark clothing. Walker was also not wearing a helmet.
The driver of the Ford truck stayed by Walker’s side at the scene of the accident until police arrived, Walker was transported to the Ryder Trauma Center in Miami’s Jackson Memorial Hospital, but sadly succumbed to his injuries less than 24 hours later.
Walker was a fourth-round pick of the Ravens in 2015. He played eight snaps on defense as a rookie, making one tackle. Analysts predicted he’d be a shoe in for the No. 3 or No. 4 cornerback spot on the Ravens this season.
Our prayers are with Walker’ s family and teammates during their time of grief.
