Pharrell Teaches A Masterclass At NYU
Pharrell Teaches NYU Masterclass & Drops Knowledge For Aspiring Musicians
Since being named NYU Tisch School of the Arts’ Artist-in-Residence, Pharrell Williams has not only soaked up plenty of knowledge from students, but also expounded on his own experience in the industry.
Most recently, the Grammy Award winner hosted an intimate masterclass during which NYU Tisch faculty members Bob Power and Jason King interviewed him about his passion for music.
Aside from his love for beats, Pharrell also opened up about being creative while still mastering the business of it all. The N.E.R.D. frontman then listened to the music of the talented students enrolled in the Clive Davis Institute of Recorded Music, and offered them sound advice.
In addition to hosting the masterclass, Pharrell and his wife Helen are funding a scholarship that will allow high school students to attend the Clive Davis Institute’s highly sought-after Summer High School Program.
