What was initially promised as a one night only showcase has transformed into the kick-off of a 25-city Bad Boy Reunion tour, headlined by Puff Daddy and with appearances by legends Mase, Lil’ Kim, TOTAL, Busta Rhymes, Mary J. Blige, Usher, Carl Thomas and more.
The show kicked off one day before what would have been Biggie’s 44th birthday, as evidenced through commemorative Notorious B.I.G shirts concertgoers wore.
The Lox performed their 2001 jam, “We Gonna Make It.” Faith Evans sang her 1995 tune “As Soon as I Get Home,” and Mary J. Blige set fans off with her signature dances moves during a performance of “Be Happy.”
Two of the most surprising moments from the show were brought to us by Jay Z and Nas, respectively. Jay flew in from 5,000 miles away to perform his timeless banger “Public Service Announcement,” while Nas performed his classic “Made You Look.”
