PARTYNEXTDOOR On Regrets & His Relationship With Kehlani

PARTYNEXTDOOR has had his share of drama throughout the year, but his dramatic relationship with Kehlani probably started it all.

In a new interview with Rolling Stone, PND dished on the success of his music (including writing Rihanna‘s “Work”) and his personal relationship drama. He told the mag, “It was a blue year for me. I thought, ‘Write a hit, you’ll be rich and happy.’ Meet one of the most beautiful girls in the world, one of the most talented and I’ll be happy. All of that: I’m not happy.” 

After the Internet caught wind that Kehlani and PND were hooking up while she was still dating Kyrie Irving, the pair were ostracized until Kehlani revealed that she tried to take her own life by posting a photo of her slit wrist. The songwriter opened up about the madness, saying, “I regret how it went down. Big time I regret how it went down. I look into people’s eyes and I know they think I’m a bad guy. There’s a lot of details that people don’t know.”

He continued, “I just hope people understand that was a year for him. And I hope everyone has a successful year and I hope that’s in the past.”
