Derrick Rose Invited Himself Over To Carmelo's House For Thanksgiving

Derrick Rose and Carmelo Anthony have only been teammates for a few months, but it seems like they already have a pretty close relationship.

So close, that Rose invited himself over to Anthony’s house for Thanksgiving dinner.

“My mom and everybody, my son, will be back in Chicago. So yeah, I’m thankful I have somewhere to go,” Rose said of heading to Anthony’s for the holiday.

“I just asked where his family’s (going) and asked if it was cool if I came over. He said yeah so I don’t think I have to bring anything but an appetite. Yeah, that’s the only thing I have to bring right now,” he told ESPN.

Rose has previously spoke on how much he meant to the city of Chicago and the Bulls having been a Chicago native and bringing a spark back to the city for the first time since Michael Jordan‘s departure.

Since this is his first year being away from his city, it’s nice for him to have ‘Melo as an assist.
