Roy Ayers "Holiday" [AUDIO]
Roy Ayers “Holiday”
Roy Ayers is one of the fathers of the hip-hop movement. His soulful, jazz influenced songs have provided the backdrop of many a hip-hop classic (“Bonita Applebum” anybody?) This 1981 song was written around the time that the movement for making the birthday of Martin Luther King Jr a national holiday went into full swing.
