Is This White Boy Dangerous?
Street poet/ activist, Monte Smith, has been noted for his fiery prose against racial & political injustice everywhere. He’s not only been co-signed by political prisoner Mumia-Abu-Jamal, but heralded by the likes of Bruce George (Co producer of HBO’S “Def Poetry Jam’), Sam Greenlee author of The Spook Who Sat By The Door, and even the legendary Last Poets.
Recently the buzz in the urban community has been roaring its disapproval over Monte’s skin color. For most finding out Monte is white is like finding out The Boondocks This issue has spawned the question…as a “white man”, is his message of racial and political discrimination valid?
