Ranking The Best HBCUs In Movies And TV
Over at TheFreshexpress columnist TheUppityNegro takes on the fun challenge of ranking the four most popular fictional HBCUS from film and TV: Hillman College, Mission College, Atlanta A&T University and Truth University.
Hillman College was the fictional alma mater of Cliff and Claire Huxtable on “The Cosby Show” and the campus for the A Different World spinoff. Mission College was the backdrop for Spike Lee’s color-struck commentary on Greek life, School Daze. Atlanta A&T is where Nick Cannon obtained his higher learning in Drumline and Truth University is where Stomp The Yard takes place.
