WTF Moment #1

The WTF? Moment: In October 2007, Soulja Boy created a music video for his song, “Shootout,” that featured him doing a dance with two handguns and then pretending to fire shots into a crowd of people.

Why It Was So Outrageous: At the time, SB was still just a kiddie rapper who was largely known for his debut single, “Crank That.”

How It Turned Out: As a result of the video, many of SB’s songs were banned from school dances. The “Shootout” video was also reworked—this time without the guns.
