What: The Flavor Unit was the name of DJ Mark the 45 King’s crew of New Jersey based hip-hop artists before Queen Latifah and Shakim Compere co-opted the name for their fledgling management company. As CEO and COO, respectively, the duo became formidable business partners in the music industry.
