What Are You Teaching Your Kids? Little Girls Rap Nicki Minaj’s “Super Bass”
Am I the only person who sees something majorly wrong with this video of two young girls rapping the lyrics to Nicki Minaj’s “Super Bass?” The adorable little girls are dressed in pretty princess costumes with tiaras and wands while they rap “He pop bottles and he got the right kind of bill, he cold, he dope, he might sell coke…” STOP! Is that really what we want our children to be singing? Sure, the video is cutesy and the song is catchy but I think the parents should have listened to the lyrics first before allowing their young white daughters to rap about liking a “hood” kind of guy who sells coke…
Maybe it’s just me…
