THE LEAK: Tanya Morgan, “She’s Gone”
If you haven’t heard of Tanya Morgan, consider this a great introduction. The hip-hop trio from Brooklyn and Cincinnati (its’ three dudes, not a girl) are one album and two EPs deep and their newest project, Brooklynati, drops tomorrow. “She’s Gone” features singing from one of my favorite rappers-turnt-sangers, Phonte of Little Brother and The Foreign Exchange. It’s sort of like Common’s “I Used To Love H.E.R.” the eulogy. The irony is that songs like this mean that Hip-Hop is very much alive. Check it out.
